Jewelry for America, an exhibition on view at the Metropolitan Museum, through April 5, 2020, explores the evolution of jewelry in this country from the early eighteenth century to the present day. The show includes a neckpiece by Thomas Gentille, constructed with eggshell overlay. In its August 12, 2019 review of the show The Wall Street Journal commented on Gentille’s use of unusual materials, techniques and designs.
