Ring Exhibition / Air
An exhibition of rings created by Art and Design masters from the faculty of the Jewelry and Industrial Design Departments at Shenkar College for Engineering and Design in Tel Aviv, Israel. “AIR“ (translated from the Hebrew word “AVIR”) presents the idea of the ring as a “void“ that the body must fill. Rings are symbolically charged objects in all cultures and times, bearing much tradition, mythology, fantasy and energy. “The ring is penetrable – it envelopes the body even as the body penetrates it.” – Deganit Stern Schocken.
