An exhibition of cutting-edge work by eleven young Dutch jewelry artists who have emerged to the forefront of the contemporary studio jewelry world in the Netherlands since the late ‘90’s. It is an exhibition of strong, innovative work that goes beyond mere decorative beauty and follows a clear idea or concept, giving convincing testimony to the creative mentality of artists in the “Lowlands.” “”There seems to be a kind of Dutch tradition of integrating diverse, disparate, even contrary disciplines. This openness to mixing materials and techniques and the uncommon approaches taken in integrating them into a whole are extensions of a mindset that is extremely liberal, and not familiar or comfortable with restrictions.’” – Andrea Wagner.
