Margit Jäschke (*1962) lives and works as an independent artist in Halle (Saale). It was here in the 1980s that she studied jewelry at the art school at Burg Giebichenstein. Her works—jewelry, drawings, and objects—celebrate the special moment of inspiration, the origin of all creativity. She delights her audience with her very unique “poetry of things.” The title of her publication is thus also symbolic of her oeuvre: Kairos is the Greek god of the fortuitous moment, who can only be caught fleetingly by his forelock. It is this precious moment that Margit Jäschke seizes and inspires her to create impressive works. Discover this renowned artist’s multifaceted oeuvre, which transcends the demarcations between jewelry, painting, and sculpture in her subtle characteristic style.
