Biba Schutz
Biba Schutz is a self-taught jewelry maker who began her design career as a graphic artist. She was trained in typography and printmaking at the Pratt Graphics Center, New York City and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in design from American University in Washington, D.C. Schutz’ work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions throughout the U.S. and has been highlighted in many publications including Metalsmith Magazine; American Craft Magazine; Ornament Magazine; and the “500” book series by Lark Books. Her work is in the collections of Corning Museum of Glass, Corning, NY; Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA; Newark Museum, Newark, NJ; Racine Art Museum, Racine, WI; Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington, DC; Rotasa Foundation, Mill Valley, CA. She lives and works in New York City.
